In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine group.

The mission concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
