It was typical 'previous Bills teams' as they shot themselves in the foot, getting into a deficit on defensive side and Allen attempting to overcompensate to rescue his squad out of it - not the composed, controlled, balanced Bills we've seen this year

Miami have served up a varied performances this season so the jury's out on whether this is the beginning of a trend, but for Buffalo they'll require an instant response in a tough game against the Buccaneers next week as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the AFC East

Regarding the New England, they're among three 8-2 teams in the NFL, all AFC teams, but could they be the top team?

Traveling to the Ravens is also tough, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Chiefs to face two times, the Chargers (who could also challenge for top seed but face the same problem) and also the Packers on the schedule

The Colts also play the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two matchups with the 5-4 Jacksonville to face. There is a long way to travel but the opportunity is available for a surprise top seed in the American Football Conference

Both squads with solid claims to be superior to all of the three eight and two teams are NFC West rivals the Seattle and Rams, who each put up 40 burgers to go to seven and two ahead of the upcoming major meeting between the pair in Los Angeles

They've both secured four victories in a consecutive games, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defenses giving up under 20 points a game

Each could easily be undefeated as too - especially the Rams as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that painful defeat in Philly when they had a potentially winning kick with the last kick deflected and returned by the Philadelphia for a touchdown

Seattle also lost to the 49ers, with a late touchdown in the opening week, before falling to the final play of the contest against the Buccaneers - so they're truly among the best sides in the NFL

The next matchup on Sunday could be the best of the year so far
