Emma Raducanu made it to the third stage in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slams this year.

The British tennis star Emma Raducanu has pulled out of her remaining competitions of the year due to a medical condition that has affected her over the past 10 days.

At 22 years old had planned to participate in Tokyo and Hong Kong but chose to travel back to recover ahead of launching next year's training.

Those preparations will include trainer Francisco Roig, as the pair have agreed to work together in 2026.

She required blood pressure checks while playing the initial match versus Ann Li in Wuhan last week and withdrew when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.

She needed once more a doctor's assessment at the Ningbo Open this week, where she was defeated in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in round one.

She was also playing noticeably restricted in the final set against Zhu due to back discomfort that has affected her on several occasions in 2025.

Such performances meant an encouraging season, in which she climbed into the international top 30 for the first time for the first time since 2022, concluded with three straight losses.

The athlete was close to victory with three match points prior to falling to Pegula in round three in Beijing last month.

The player achieved 28 victories this year and advanced to the semis in Washington, but her standout performance was at the Miami Open in March.

As Britain's top player made the last eight of this WTA 1000 tournament, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro on the way prior to a loss in three sets to the world number four Pegula.

She was coached by trainer Mark Petchey between Miami and Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in ahead of the US Open.

The first plan with Rafael Nadal's former coach was for the remainder of the year but the partnership will continue, with planned training sessions for the end of the year.

The athlete revealed that the trial session with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.

She came very close to beating world number one Aryna Sabalenka at the first competition with Roig in Cincinnati during August.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in the New York tournament, where she advanced to round three then falling to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
