Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, During Regional Counterattacks.

Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched strikes across the region in retaliation for a significant and ongoing assault targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone close to the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any destruction is unclear and the American officials has not commented.

Regional Interceptions

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to US military bases - stated they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry said it had successfully engaged several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was striking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on Iran launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.

That US-Israeli operation - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted locations associated with the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

Regional Fallout

In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with notable success and shot down a several projectiles," the statement continued.

It said debris landed in a populated district in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and fatalities.

The United States Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
