President Trump Calls Loved Ones of Shot Guard Members to the White House

President Trump stated on Sunday that he has extended an invitation the family of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to attend the presidential home.

He mentioned that he conversed with her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

Background on the Heartbreaking Event

Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a shooting on last Wednesday in the nation's capital.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, is still in the hospital in critical condition.

Gatherings across the state have taken place in their honor.

White House Call

The commander-in-chief explained he’s proposed a White House visit for the parents of both soldiers of the state Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, arrive at the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” Trump told reporters. “And in the same way with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Community Response

Community members gathered over the weekend at a local school in West Virginia to pay respects to Sarah.

Both they had been serving with the state guard as part of Trump’s government program to support law enforcement in Washington DC.

Honoring Beckstrom

“She was the kind of student that teachers hoped for. She behaved with quiet strength, a bright grin and a upbeat demeanor that lifted people around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the leader of Beckstrom’s alma mater, informed the press. “She was kind, caring and always ready to help others.”

Service details for Beckstrom are still being arranged.

Judicial Measures and Policy Adjustments

Officials have accused a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder while armed.

The event led the government to suspend refugee claims and cease issuing visas to possessors of travel documents.

Condition of the Airman

Wolfe, a native of the city, enlisted in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, per the news agency.

He remains under medical supervision and is “in a critical fight”, West Virginia governor Patrick Morrisey mentioned on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

Attorney general Bondi stated on the program that she aimed to visit Wolfe’s family.

Legacy of Beckstrom

Sarah, from Summersville, completed her education from Webster County High in June 2023 and enlisted soon after, working as a military police officer with honor, per the state guard.

“She had a lot of goodness and she definitely had bravery,” he told the audience at the vigil. “Though her time ended too soon, she has created a legacy that’s going to be remembered always.”
