Isak Returns

The Liverpool striker, who hasn't featured since 22 October because of a groin injury, has been chosen for the World Cup games versus Switzerland (15 November) and the Slovenian side (18 November)

Other Premier League Selections

  • Spurs midfielder the young talent, working his way back from a head injury
  • Magpies wide player the Swedish international

These players were included in the England-based players selected by ex- Brighton, Chelsea and West Ham boss Graham Potter

Potter's Role

The English manager was named by Sweden originally for an interim period in late October, under four weeks following his departure from West Ham

Former coach Jon Dahl Tomasson lost his job after Sweden's defeat to the Kosovan team in mid-October, a result which rendered straight qualification from Group B out of reach

Current Situation

The Swedish team are currently last place in Group B with just a single point in four matches

Should they fail to finish second, they could still be involved in the World Cup play-offs due to thanks to their showing in the most recent UEFA competition
