The Gory Animated Film Conclusion That Lingers Audiences

Among all the mature animated films I’ve personally watched, no other has lingered in my mind as much as the terror-laced ending of the viscerally violent and highly provocative film from 2022 The Unicorn Wars.

Back in 2015’s, this Spain-based filmmaker created a grim, bleak , frequently brutal world with several minor , desolate hints of hope.

While Unicorn Wars seems like it originated from a drive to expand the medium further, the filmmaker stated that it was rather an effort to convey a global, multicultural message about “the shared root of every conflict.”

That idea is communicated by means of a group of brightly hued teddy bears , obviously modeled after a famous line of cuddly figures.

Maturing in a society focused on aggression as well as the defense industry, a lot of these animals are consumed by killing unicorns, due to a religious scripture that claims them they were once rulers of the woods, until the unicorns expelled them.

Others haven’t fully accepted the propaganda, and choose to try out drugs and engage sexually in the forest.

Unlike their gentle counterparts, these bright beings display genitals , clear libidos.

For a certain particularly cruel, cynical bear, the bear named Bluey, the war with the unicorns becomes a route to control — and particularly to supremacy above his more tender, nicer brother the character Tubby.

Bluey is a bully , an apparent psychopath , and while horror dominates his group and takes his fellow soldiers sequentially, he grabs more and more power for himself, through ever more violent, damaging approaches.

Meanwhile, these mythical beings are experiencing their own horror, through a growing, harmful creature in their woods.

“In the early stages, it appears as a comedy,” the filmmaker commented. “Yet it becomes a more serious and sorrowful film. And ultimately, it’s a terrifying movie.”

The Unicorn Wars starts out similar to one of the most whimsical features by a legendary filmmaker, that uncover a wicked pleasure in allowing drawn beings swear, fire weapons, or have intimate relations.

Subsequently it evolves into something more like a bleaker movie from that creator, with increasingly visual gore and a palpable relation to the actual horror of war.

Ultimately, it’s a full-on extreme drama carnage.

The horror that turns this a perfect Halloween watch begins much sooner than one might expect.

The Unicorn Wars is one for the most dedicated lovers of violence, for fans of graphic films who desire to watch something they haven’t ever viewed until now, and are able to withstand a narrative that offers absolutely no punches.

See it in a dark room without any distractions, and the finale will dig into your mind and linger.
