The Gory Animated Film Conclusion That Lingers Audiences
Among all the mature animated films I’ve personally watched, no other has lingered in my mind as much as the terror-laced ending of the viscerally violent and highly provocative film from 2022 The Unicorn Wars.

“In the early stages, it appears as a comedy,” the filmmaker commented. “Yet it becomes a more serious and sorrowful film. And ultimately, it’s a terrifying movie.”
The Unicorn Wars starts out similar to one of the most whimsical features by a legendary filmmaker, that uncover a wicked pleasure in allowing drawn beings swear, fire weapons, or have intimate relations.
Subsequently it evolves into something more like a bleaker movie from that creator, with increasingly visual gore and a palpable relation to the actual horror of war.
Ultimately, it’s a full-on extreme drama carnage.
